Mirissa’s crescent beach is the launch point for one of the ocean’s greatest spectacles: blue whales surfacing just offshore beneath the early morning light. Boats depart at sunrise chasing dolphins and whales, while by day the shoreline settles into a relaxed strip of cafes and gentle surf breaks. Whale watching season runs November to April.
