Perched along a ridge, Haputale trades crowds for panoramas, its Lipton’s Seat viewpoint offering sweeping views over working tea estates that, on clear days, stretch all the way to the distant south coast. It’s a quieter, far more contemplative side of Sri Lanka’s storied hill country. Best visited January to March, for the clearest views.
